nope, i forgot. maria is husband.  baddood;

verum = true i know that
sanguine = blood
cum LOL, I believe it's "with"
nobus= us, lol noi in italian and nous in french.

Even if maria means husband, I think it can be used as the name too, right?

..like in Ave Maria?

The only latin I know is what I can remember off the top of my head from choir... which isn't much.

maria couldn't mean husband, "a" is the feminine ending

if it was husband [i don't know if the root is though] the word would be "marius"

maria would mean wife if the root means "spouse"
powerofone; powerofone; powerofone; powerofone; powerofone;

yeah

well

like i said, I don't know latin, but I do know quite a bit about choir music. And I know that like 90% of choir music is christian because way back when, the only people who could afford to pay composers to write them crap were people who were high in the community, usually religiously.

I don't see why you're all arguing over the meanings of maria and virgine when quite obviously, in this piece, it's referring to "Virgin Mary".

I GOT A NEW SONG IN KWIRE AND ITS IN LATIN ROFL
i want to know what it says in case mr. p is having us say dirty things.  baddood;

Ave verum corpus natum de Maria virgine, vere passum, immolatum in cruce prohomine. Cujus latus perforatum unda fluxit cum sanguine unda fluxit cum sanguine. Esto nobis praegustatum mortis in examine. O Jesu, Jesu dulcis. O Jesu, Jesu pie. O Jesu fili Mariae, O Jesu fili Mariae. Tu nobis miserere, miserere. Tu nobis miserere, miserere. Amen! Amen! Amen!

THE END GO GO GO GO

Just GUESSING completely, I'm going to say that I can see phrases like "the body of the virgin mary" and "oh jesus, sweet jesus, oh jesus something."

Det, I don't think you need to worry about singing something naughty, it's just another run-of-the-mill religious choir song.
