But I actually started being really frustrated and upset when I had to talk to people that he's telling me to talk to. I don't know why, but just being social, isn't really my thing.  But, I don't want to be somebody who has nobody in their lives, in the future.

I know what you mean.  No matter where I go or what I do, I'm never a social person.  For me, the most social period of my life was kindergarten mainly because I just made friends for no reason; nowadays, I have to make friends for my own gain or something similar to that.

The way I've made friends is just by being myself and trying not to push people away.

I know you've heard that thousands of times, but it's really something difficult to do.  Basically, just find things you like; to make friends, you are not obligated to change your opinions or likings at all.  You just have to appreciate people, in all their stupidity or all of their greatness.  Also, try not to just think of a person you meet during a project or something similar as a one time thing.

And try not to worry so much about the possibility that you could be alone for the rest of your life - the more you worry, the worse things get.

The most important thing is that you remember that you have time; high school isn't the only place you can make friends, and it definitely doesn't contain the only people in the world.  Like I said before, the more you rush and the more you worry, the worse things will get.  Just relax:  enjoy your life and your favorite things.

I guess the above statements tie into this thread because I would only act like that to someone I know, and that someone would be a friend.  Those cruel and mean things are only cruel and mean depending on who you tell them to.

I would probably tell you more, but I can't help but get the feeling that you're not going to listen to me.  I just get the feeling you're going to say, "Bah, what does he know?"

It's probably because it's something I'd do.
