It's still not an autonomous production of the chemical.  You are still requiring an outside stimulus.

When did I mention the "autonomous production of the chemical", I am well aware that I can't ask my brain to produce much of anything; However I can naturally influence it, don't put words in my mouth.

Also, you should take note that I've discussed the topic and never once personally insulted you. If you disagree with my view fine, I only wish you the best, just know that James.

I think that's the whole point of taking anti-depressants.  So they can enjoy life.

You don't need anti-depressants to enjoy life, the world and humanity existed fine before the modern era.

Now use your expertise on depression and share how to naturally influence serotonin production; I'm sure plenty of members here would love to stop taking their medication if the great Socks can help them naturally produce serotonin.  Come on, doctor, they're waiting on your esoteric knowledge of medical conditions to save them from pharmaceutics.

No, you personally insulted at least a quarter of our active userbase who have some form of depression by calling them defeatists

Once again, there is a difference between having an opinion and having a belief that contradicts what medicine/science/history says.  What you keep saying falls under the latter.

The part of humanity without depression.

I'm still waiting for that proof that you seem to have.

Well I'll be damned if a person cannot influence their state of mood, and no not by communication with your brain. Also, my opinion is based on my own situation, if that contradicts with medicine/science and history then I'm hugely grateful for said contradiction.

Also, keep waiting for proof... I'm sure someone will make a pill for that too.

State of mood = feeling depressed
Clinical depression ≠ state of mood
I've felt depressed, I've controlled it and gotten over it.  I don't have depression.  There is a difference; there are people here who are genuinely clinically depressed.

oh ur so witty.  The reason you're not going to provide proof is because there is none. Stop pretending otherwise.

I'm doomed it appears to live in an unexplainable lack of depression, tragic.

Go back and try to add a missing punctuation mark; it might help your attempt at being funny further your goal of avoiding actually proving a bullshit claim.

Perhaps if you didn't wear your emotions on your sleeve, like the display you've put on here, you might get somewhere.

And up ahead you'll see two people who each have to have the last word in on an arguement. This could go on longer than the All Star game

Perhaps if you could actually debate the subject and not just grasp at whatever possible to avoid doing so people could actually respect you in a debate.

oh no i like clucky that is clearly a viable argument in something about depression being a medical issue.  while we're pulling up irrelevant things in a debate; you're not from a first world country i dunno what that has to do with not providing a source for anything or saying that depression can be controlled without medical help but it totally sounds like something that ends arguments.

also, you guys need a new argument.  the "lol you like clucky xD" being used as actual defense in an argument has always been old.

Not really, it's more of an argument about clinical depression.
