it was fantastic. i think in general it was "better written" in style than wind-up bird, but wind-up bird was a more, idk, cohesive and fully-realized plot in a way? so they are really about on equal footing overall for me.

Reading now : 1Q84

It's good and the most anchored in reality that I've read so far.

Personally though I much prefer 1Q84 out of all that I've read so far

kafka on the shore is my next book to read so I'll see how they compare. Either way 1Q84 is really good

ive only read wind up bird chronicle and kafka on the shore and i liked wind up slightly more

but they are both wonderful
