Old men drive dangerously slow.  If you drive too slow, you start pissing people off, which is more dangerous than driving fast.  People will try to pass you, you will have a line of angry drivers behind you, it's just not safe.

I know this. But I've only driven once, in a residential road with no traffic, gimme a break

I wasn't that close. I just went a little more into the left lane because I didn't want to hit any mailboxes (this was in my neighborhood).

The day i got my learners permit, my sister's boyfriend offered to teach me how to drive. He told me to drive around this supermarket and I did pretty well. My mom offered to teach me and all she did was yell at me and get me nervous and I ended up hitting the curb.
