Not necessarily. This test only outlines a few personality traits that are typical of disorders. It does not mean you have the disorder if you have the personality traits. It just means you're a rather avoidant person, which is quite normal, at least to a certain extent.

When you go beyond that extent, and it starts interfering with your life...that's when it's a disorder.

People need to stop taking this online test seriously. If you really feel like you may be held back by this supposed disorder, go see a shrink so you can get real results.

Hope you guys realize that antisocial is a term for sociopath or psychopath (They're all the same shit I guess, dunno about psychopathy ;_;)

Psychopathy and sociopathy, contrary to APA/DSM-IV belief, do not equal antisocial personality disorder, though they certainly do have a very high rate of occurring side-by-side. The APA, in their official stance provided in the production of the DSM-IV, have stamped their foot down and said that "psychopathy" is synonymous with APD. However, nobody in psychological research seems to agree with them...and neither do I.

Besides, the APD criteria in DSM-IV is bullshit. 80-95% of felons? Way too high of a population of APD victims for me to accept. I await the DSM-V to rectify this, and possibly make use of the PCL-R criteria for psychopathy.

The DSM-V is probably going to be dominated by pharmacology. ;_;

Also what makes psychopathy different from sociopathy as my teacher wouldn't teach me about it. ;_;

The differences are minimal, because from what I understand there's no real guidelines for the distinction other than about how they originate in a person's personality. The effects and behaviors are largely the same, but psychopathy has more biological (hereditary, in this case) scenarios of origin than sociopathy does...and sociopathy is more often directly environmental in origin, often caused by parental conflict or peers. Obviously there's a lot of co-occurence here and they can technically be caused by the same thing, but one is more likely to be caused by one than the other.

Psychopathy also tends to present a larger scale of impulsivity and overconfidence. But they definitely share the lack of empathy and the overindulgence into one's "worth."

The DSM is just a diagnostic tool, so I suppose it's not too much of a crime in making so many of these synonyms, but it's still lacking some psychopath/sociopath traits that need to be either added in as a sub-text in APD or made into another disorder again.
