This is such an awkward moment for me. Every time someone mentions cancer, I can't help but notice how funny it is.

The most awkward thing related to this was when I was in a doctor waiting room and there was a TV playing a show about people with cancer. I help my laughter in for about five minutes before I couldn't help myself anymore, I think it was an interview with someone with a month to live that did me in and had me bursting into laughter. Jeez, all the people looking at me in the waiting room. I'm just worried if I ever see a person in real life with cancer, I won't be able to hold my laughter in. How awkward would that be?!

THat would be very awkward! But I don't think cancer is funny.

I don't really get what's so funny about cancer.

I hate it when you make a joke about a disease, and someone says "that's not funny"; they just act like they care by sticking up for those with the disease, but really they don't give a shit. It's that hypocrisy that gets to me. If they really cared, they'd be doing something more than saying "that's not funny" with every mention of cancer or AIDS in a joke--like donating their genitals to those with herpes.

No, I don't find it funny because it's really a terrible disease. Have you ever lived with somebody with cancer? No? I have. So, yes, I do care. And no, I don't find it funny at all.

Cancer isn't funny.

AIDS, however, is a knee-slapping good time.

Selkie

I really don't find it funny.

I suggest you get your sense or humor evaluated, it's seriously ill.

Lozal

Cancer isn't funny when you've had seven people in your family die or have it at one point.

AIDS, however, no matter how terrible of a disease it is, makes me laugh.  powerofone;
