What shall I do?

It was just yesterday so I have basically a year to pick something and practice.

I was thinking playing Fly Away by Lenny Kravitz. hmm

You should do something other than play an instrument, it seems like that is what everyone does. As for what you should do I have no idea.

Hmm...something you're good at doing?

I'm also going to try out for the Talent Show next year.

Maybe...I'll do some...
Singing?
Showing Art Drawings and animate them?

I'm doing both.

Back in eighth grade, I played my own original post-rock solo guitar composition for the talent show. The judges got pissed off at me because it was eight minutes long, but I still stole the show and miraculously the audience liked me more than the guy who played Eruption.

It was 20 minutes long and not prog.
Pretty much. I just made it slow, with a sort of gradual progression from section to section, with significant thematic ties.

Oh, I see.
It's pretty easy, actually. You just have to streeeeeeeeetch it out so it's really loooooooong, then throw in a couple metal riffs so the inbred audience will have something to grab on to.
