Yes.

I have been reading up on it, and heard a couple seconds of a few tracks. It's god damn musical genius. Jesus Christ.

For anyone who doesn't know, there are 4 separate discs, each with 8 tracks, and the 8 tracks are the same 8 tracks for each of the 4 discs. But it's a different layer on each disc. So basically you need to play all 4 tracks for each song simultaneously to get the full 100% effect of the song.

This is ingenious. This means...

1. You can decide what parts to put in or leave out
2.. Every time you listen it is slightly different
3. You are forced to actually put effort into listening to this. This basically forces you to LISTEN to the music, and not make it simple background sounds like so many people do with music today.

God I can't wait to order it.

Placebo Headwound

I hope you have four different stereos to play it on. doodthing;

Sam

Yeah, it's a cool idea, but not very practical...

2 computer programs, a boom box, and stereo system.

I'm all set.

Snorkel

Yeah, it's pretty cool.

An easy way to do it is import them all to mp3, and put the ones you want to play in GarageBand

Skylark

the book of right on

36chambers

C.Mongler

Its a pain in the ass. An interesting experiment, but just download a version that combines them all into one audio stream.

Houdini

It's a shitty gimmick. Save your money and get a better Flaming Lips album.

Snorkel

oh my god

I downloaded an mp3 mixdown (combining all the tracks for each song) and Thirty-Five Thousand Feet of Despair is fucking amazing while in a state of mind slightly altered by natural chemicals
