i sent a message via myspace to mikael akerfeldt and just wondered if you guys have before with any luck, the spoiler is what i sent to him if you're interested.

Quotei don't expect you to read this but i'd like to think that you will, you being a father, and husband, and in the greatest band ever and all. i saw you at oakland in california on your progressive nation tour. you didn't play demon of the fall, though almost every other time since you created that song, you've played it at most of your shows. and im sad that the venue had seats otherwise im sure you would have had more energy from those old dream theater fans.

needless to say you guys were awesome and im more then happy with the new lineup. blast beats are much more than welcomed.

also i hope to see some more work with you and steven wilson. maybe just one album with just you guys working together? that would be amazing.

you two are my heroes and hearing an album by both of you would be more than awesome.

cheers! can't wait to see you again to hear the new album live,

[/spoiler]

wondering if you got a reply from them.

I remember I wrote to "A-rod" when he left WA and went to join the Texas Rangers. It was some shit about how sad it made me and how baseball sucked dick now. I was like 6 baddood;

I've written multiple different baseball teams saying "You're my favorite team, send me free things." And within a week or two, I always got something.

marsipan

Yeah.... I wrote a letter to the president right after he was inagurated.  I got a letter back.  Fuck that though.  baddood;

I see that you apparently have something against capitalization. Or is that not "cool" anymore.

My friend's sister got an angry letter written in broken English from the government of Zimbabwe after she sent them something as part of an Amnesty International campaign. I didn't see it, but it sounded amazing.

I chatted with Murder By Death's cellist via email about which of their albums I thought was best, once.

And I talked to Neil Gaiman (author of Sandman and some books) at this thing he did here once.

And numerous local musicians, the only ones people will maybe ever have heard of are Tapes 'n Tapes and P.O.S.

superclucky

i sent a bunch of letters to famous people in elementary
i only got most of them back and the teacher kept them all (that whore's smart since she can ebay them.)

nope.

if you check my other posts you'll notice that sometimes i correctly capitalize everything, and sometimes i don't. on aim, myspace, and msn i never capitalize, while on nsider and boyah for my first 1000 posts i always capitalize.

look out for this later because you'll notice it  befuddlement

Look, some of my posts are capitalized. It just depends on whether or not I capitalize the first letter of my sentence. The 2nd to last post is capitalized for some reason.

I sent a letter with my 2nd Grade class to President, George Bush. He replied and sent a letter back to our class. It sounded like it was an automated message on some think cardboard when someone mails him something. He also sent us a pic of him, that was auto-graphed.

But, only one person got it.
