It's a lot faster than importing them from your iPod.

on OS X, Senuti or iPodRip... if you encounter issues (like it won't show your iPod when you plug it in), go into iTunes, plug your iPod in, and deselect "automatically open iTunes when iPod is connected"

I think Steal showed me a program called Music Rescue which allowed me to bring my songs up from my iPod
