if you truly believe it and focus, you can affect the progression of time, to make the lucid dream last longer.

And some expert on dreaming said that one time he had an hour long dream that seemed 100 years long.

And I was thinking, how incredibly amazingly spectacular and weird would that be, you have an epically long dream, like 100 years long, and then you wake up, to realize that only an hour has gone by. That would probably be the most astounding feeling ever.

Think about it.

superclucky

I already mentioned this in another thread.

Why doesn't anyone listen to me? :'(

Is this "astounding feeling" similar to the feeling you get when you're in school and your class seems to last forever; because there's nothing astounding about that...

If such would be possible, you could get into this whole "lasdgsg our entire life is a dream." Could you imagine sitting on your death bed, then waking up and discovering it's your first day of kindergarten?

Also, I'd have to have a dream that seems to be that long because it'd be hard to discern whether or not it was a dream, and then you might unintentionally do something incredibly stupid in that dream and have it turn into a nightmare pretty quickly. Dreaming of being in prison for 50 years doesn't sound too great.

If that happened to me, my perception of reality would probably  be greatly distorted and I'd probably have psychological problems for a long time.

Haha, who wouldn't though; if you were to wake up from the life you were living, wouldn't you question what is real and what is not?

But imagine how hard it would be to remain asleep and lucid that long. caterpie;

Your forgetting it's lucid, so you know it's just a dream

YPrrrr

I once had a dream when I was 10 that I was in the middle of my 3rd grade class. The dream seemed to go on forever, and took me to the end of my 5th grade year. A weird thing was that my dream skipped weekends, so I just did day after day of school.

When I woke up I was so confused and dizzy. I looked in the mirror and was shocked at how different I was than I had become in the dream

It's possible to control everything around you in a dream but not even realize it is a dream. I've dreamed I could control everything in the skies and I felt alive and real, then wake up and then I know it was all a dream and I possess none of those powers.
