Cut Copy and the best album of 2008 so far

I just picked up Cut Copy's new album, In Ghost Colours, and it's spectacular. For those unaware, Cut Copy is a electronic rock outfit that's sort of a cross between sample-driven house stuff and synth-driven electronica stuff, with real vocals and song structure and things.

If you've ever liked anything remotely electronic, give it a listen -- it's beautiful. Their first album Bright Like Neon Love is also good.

I'm usually not too much of a fan of this kind of music, but their first album impressed me, and this second one gives me the same inexplicable feeling as Any Colour You Like from Dark Side of The Moon... just electronic happiness. Pitchfork gave it a 8.8/10, if that influences you.

It's also amazing to listen to while under the influence of certain substances
