It requires effort
Yes, assuming you're so fat that you have to strain to move your thumbs.

and skill
Pointing a gun at shit and shooting must be hard.

and exposes me to fine arts.
If you consider pointing a gun at shit and shooting a "fine" "art."

Not killing yourself after reading posts like yours requires a strong will.

Requires more forethought than posting, and yes, many games are difficult.

also games are generally more exciting than movies and music and art you see in museums and generally require more effort to produce

That's entirely subjective. Not all people are as unreceptive to art as you, you know. I could spend all day at a good museum.

Not necessarily true. For instance, take the Mona Lisa; Do you think DaVinci slapped that together in a day?

I doubt it took three years.

No, but effort isn't necessarily measurable solely by time. Theoretically, he could have worked harder in the time it took to paint the thing than the developers worked in the three years it took to make the game. Of course, you also have to take into account the nature of the work - painting is a very fine, meticulous process, whereas skilled programmers can produce lines upon lines of code without excessive effort.

Architecture is a type of art. Notre Dame took a hell of a lot longer than three years.

The developers didn't work on it non-stop for ten years.

Jesus Christ.

No wonder JMV is leading so many stats.

And Lawlz, Hime is right. According to Wikipedia, it took DaVinci upwards of three years to paint the Mona Lisa. TouchƃĀ©.
