so it's better for someone to ignore it because they'll never know everything about it, rather than attempt to learn even the simplest thing about it?
no, it's better for people to not assume that they'll be smartified by reading such a book

this is made all the more evident by your numerous statements in the past regarding such sciences
particularly, this

it's not even about learning the equations and scientific theories;
okay, but i wasn't aware that was a point of contention

I made the suggestion in the first place because things like quantum mechanics offer a more meaningful chance of understanding reality than any book about religion ever could.
that's odd
i understand reality by my perception of it
i guess i've been doing it wrong this whole time doodthing;

The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins is the best of those sort of books, if you're looking to read one. I think it's more fun to read books that try to prove Christianity, though.
Nah, the Bilble's kinda dull

I never said anyone "gets smarter", but knowing and understanding different things necessarily broadens one's ability to consider and evaluate perspectives, which is for the most part the objective of formal schooling

I don't get what you're accusing me of; I've never claimed to be a neurologist or God, and it seems like you're accusing me of reading the back of a book and then thinking I know everything about something; if I had to write my own metaphorical novella on that subject I could based on the material I've studied, but I'm not going to do that just to show Boyah (instead I chose to briefly outline what I was talking about in a couple paragraphs). Do you get what I'm saying?

I'm still not claiming to be anything but a curious scholar, and I still don't really understand what you're taking offense to here

Well if you'd like to keep doing that then I'm not going to stop you, but the topic of the thread was about books arguing the invalidity of religion, which is necessarily something trying to dissuade people of their worldview (or persuade, I suppose).
