Hell no.

I love the Bangai O for the Dreamcast, but the DS "sequel" isn't good at all. It has no story at all like the first one, and it's just a mess of shitty custom maps. It doesn't even deserve to called a sequel to that Dreamcast classic.

it's a tutorial that just so happens to have characters with zero character development

It's still a good game nevertheless. It's game engine and level creator are good enough themselves. It has more than enough content to make up for the lack of a story.

it's a mess of lame custom levels and the level creator isn't even that great. the worst part is it limits how many items you can put on a map so you can't make anything really cool or complex

Actually you can do some crazy things with the level editor, and make some big levels.

They can be big, but they'll be empty

i own the game and completed about 60% of the levels. i tried making my own and found a rather strict limit on how much you can put in each level. i know what i'm talking about

I've completed like 90% of them, and made a few levels. Sure, it's limiting, but you can do plenty with what they give you.

If you've ever played the Dreamcast original, you'd know that the DS version feels like nothing more than a godawful chinese knockoff.
