Well, Radiant Silvergun sucks, so maybe that doesn't leave much :'(

Third person shooters could include those horizontal or vertical ones or stuff like gears of War and Grand Theft Auto.

I really dislike horizontal shooters. Megaman, Metroid, none of them. Vertical shooters are alright, and FPSes are my favorite of the genre.

I don't really play shooters on a regular basis though

Horizontal also includes Gradius, R-Type, Sinistron, etc.
