Download the .iso and burn it to a disc


put it in your computer and boot it up.  plug in the external and then access your computers harddrive from Ubuntu and copy the stuff.

I got everything up in ubuntu, and now I can't figure out how to get to my harddrive.

Click Places on the top bar, and go to Computer.  Then pick your hard drive, the name should be like xxxGB Volume (where x = # of gigabytes)

Just go through there, and drag everything you want onto your external drive.
