I got my papers acknowledging  that I registered for selective service.  So, how often will I be bothered by the United States Armed Forces?

From time to time they will send you a letter or most likely brochures for all the different services. Most of these will have your name spelled wrong.

Should I send them pamphlets about socialism?

No, the Russian army is that way, traitor.

Watch out, they call you at least once, interrogate you, and then see if you're fit enough to be drafted.

Enlighten me the error of my ways.

They do not call you in, interrogate you nor list you for a draft. The list is mostly for record.

There might have been a slight miscommunication error on my part. I apologize.

By calling, I meant over the phone. They do question you, over the phone. And if you meet their standards from that session, they put you on a list for future inquiry (i.e, possible draft candidate).

Over the phone.  powerofone;
