Anyways, did you not bother to comprehend what I said?  I'm well aware that card counting can be successful, but some kid who hardly even knows what it is and who also intends to win money from his friends has a far greater likelihood of becoming one of the countless Vegas tourists who brings a book on card counting with him and who leaves with lighter pockets rather than one of the huge success stories.

Team or not an individual can get rich if he is a really good card counter, worse case scenario you make less money than when on a team, but you still make money.

If you are sufficiently lucky and actually become decent at card counting, possibly.  I would doubt that there have been many individual card counters that have won large amounts in the last few decades.  It's not that hard to spot a bad card counter.
Regardless, one of the key advantages of card counting comes from the dealer having to abide by house rules.  I doubt that would be the situation when he plays with his friends.
