No, it's not. Chances are, you'll look back on your first time and laugh at how retarded you were, because nobody is a born natural at sex. You gotta try more than once before you become really coordinated with it and everything.

But I guess a lot of people think the first time is special because it's a big step in a good relationship, or a mark of being "grown up." It's also a rather easy event to remember, so that might be part of it.
