I consider that thought similar to preferring hyper, moronic, and loud people as friends rather than the quieter and smarter people (taking away any other groups of people there might be) befuddlement

I think taking care of a cat's claws is something as basic you should do as getting them fixed. I don't think you can get a dog's teeth cut/taken off.
