The music was probably the best of the NES.

The game was great as well. I wish they'd make the next Zelda like Zelda II, in 3D though. Like with the leveling up, magic, and all that great ass shit that we need in a new Zelda. Zelda is getting stale and we need something new and why not just take the old and make it new agian?

Not 3D, but I would love a new Zelda II. It's probably in my top three NES games because it has somewhat of a Castlevania feel except you can go wherever you want. Dungeons were awesome, combat system was great, enemies were a little scary for the time, and the music is just amazing. The only problem I have is that the cave to the last dungeon is too damn hard; when I finally made it through, I died immediately .

Having a Wii version with a kind of gloomy styled Super Paper Mario graphics (minus the lip to 3D slop) would be impressive.

That is my favorite NES game ever.  Zelda II is even greater than the original.
Anyway, I wish they'd have the guy who made the music for that game do more than just Brain Age games. I really wish he'd make music for Nintendo's more hardcore titles, like another Zelda game. Also, I'd adore a remake of it, or a Zelda game similar to it. Zelda II was fantastic. It's definitely one of the greatest RPGs ever.

A few months ago I died right after I got through the cave you need the candle for, so I stopped playing. This thread inspired me to start playing again. I had to do some level grinding, and now I think I'm ready for the second dungeon.

yeah it's mostly hardcore people I've heard it from. When I acquire more wii points this will be on the top of my list.
