Help retrieving a backed up smf forum

We recently backed up a forum since we thought the domain was about to expire and wanted to save the posts and such, but it turned out it wasn't close from expiring and we were all happy little negros. Then some asshole comes along and somehow deletes the whole fucking forum. Our 3 admins (including myself) are freaking out since we have no clue what the hell to do.

Did you back up both the .sql database and the physical directory of the forum?

I don't think the latter is required, but you'd have to install the themes, emotes, mods, and such again.

Which sucks because I spent about an hour and a half uploading a new set of emotes a few nights ago

Well, be glad that the posts, PMs, and all of that shit was saved.

Try to import the database into MySQL again.

I want to know how big the .SQL file is before I can confirm it's a legit backup.
