Do you guys ever eat at restaurants alone?

Because I'm considering doing it sometime after school, but it just seems weird.

If I had a Macbook Pro like Jim V, I could feel like some sort of awesome businessman, but I'm not.

oh god for the third time tonight i've laughed at something you've posted, that's incredibly much more than usual.


Yeah, there is a convenience store/ deli/ little eat in thingy called White Dove right near one of the campuses.  I'd get 2 slices of pizza and some fries every day. The food was awesome.  They dipped the fries in a a batter before frying them, and they used fresh potatoes.

I mean, a Mcdonald's is no big deal, but actually sitting down and sulking in my self loathing while feasting upon a grease drenched ciabatta and shamefully shouting "hey" at people that probably are utterly disgusted by me really isn't my idea of a jolly fine time.

Maybe I could bring a Gameboy Micro or something, but then I'd probably only seem like an even worse geek and my little arms would only provide evidence of it.

They have something similar to a bar counter with some stools up against the window.  I just sit there and eat my pizza.  There are usually other people there.  On occasion a nice female shall sit beside me but I can never bring myself to talk to her.

BUT THE MCDONALDS DOWN THE STREET HAS AN AREA WITH NICE ARM CHAIRS AND A TV. THEY ALSO HAVE WI-FI.  I MAY GO DOWN THERE SOME DAY AND JUST GET SOMETHING SMALL JUST TO CHILL OUT IN MCDONALDS.

I've never gone to a restaurant without any family members.

I always think it's a bit strange when I see people eating alone, even if they're reading the newspaper or something.

though with a laptop, or even if it was a student dowing homework in a notebook, I wouldn't find it weird.
