Aaaaaaaaaa Ferret Help

 So I want to get a ferret(or ferrets) but my mom has a thing about odors, do they really smell badly? I read that they're decented.

You can buy them de-scented with their anal glands removed.

I used to have two, so my thoughts are worth something:

Yeah, a little. The whole room they're in will have a faint smell, at best, and if you don't keep their cage in order, it'll be worse... and right next to the cage you'll smell them. It's not really a bad smell, and actually if the cage is clean all the time they might not really smell much at all.

I wouldn't recommend getting them if you have any sort of social life; they demand a very large amount of attention and need to be out and about/played with constantly. Also, the cage cleaning is troublesome.

And you have to get at least 2, so that's something to think about.
