I installed GIMP for windows. At first, whenever I went on to it there were three windows:

1. A window with all the tools that you can use.
2. A window showing all the layers.
3. A window showing the image.

But now when I go on it, the window that shows all the layers doesn't come up!
Anyone know how to get it back? Please help!

I'm really confused. Can anyone help please?

Look around all your preferences, because I know there's a way to reset all window settings to defaults.

That's no help at all
There should be something under your file menu like 'preferences' or 'window settings.'

GIMP won't boot under Leopard so I can't tell you exactly where to go. Just look around your options until you find something to reset all windows to default, and do it.

1. Open GIMP
2. Click on a tool.
3. On the tool window on the right hand side near the top, should be a sideways arrow. It will be underneath the minimize/maximize/etc.
4. Click said arrow.
5. Go down to the option "Add Tab"
6. Select the "Layers" tab.
7. The tab should now have been added to your current toll window.
8. You now have two options, you can leave it in your tool window so all your tools are in one spot or you can detach it and have it separate.

9. If you choose to separate it, go to your layers tab.
10. Click the same arrow as mentioned in instruction 3.
11. Click "Detach Tab"
12. BAM! It is done.
