I've never been to a public school dance, but I can assure you that private middle school dances blow. I just went for the free food.

Public school dances are mostly pretty shitty too. I went to a couple, and I mostly ended up just sitting around talking to my friends, usually turning down dances but getting up every once in a while to go out there. Dancing at those things really just isn't fun.
