We can't get 56k, the further you are from the server, the slower your speed is going to be.

Yes, somehow. Cable and DSL lines don't run up to my house, and there's too many trees and whatnot in the way for satellite. We've tried everything.

Can you get 3G signals?  It may be possible to use one of those sprint network cards.  You can get some DSL quality speed with it.

It's basically the high speed network that Sprint and AT&T use.

Verizon's EV-DO is also pretty good.  I think that even EDGE(T-Mobile and AT&T offer) is faster than what you have now, so I'd suggest looking into something allowing you to use mobile broadband
