surprisingly, this isn't that bad compared to some of the people I encounter on an average day.  It's almost a reprieve

That's surprising.  I've found some of the most annoiyng, arrogant people here.  Some people are fine though.

maybe I'm just not on enough to encounter them.  generally they seem fine, not too blindingly ignorant, like the people who comment on youtube videos
