MacBook because of portability and because MacBook Pro prices are ridiculous.

You can get a 2.4 GHz iMac or for 500 dollars more you can get a rather unportable laptop with a 2.2 GHz Processor and a lesser graphics card

You can't possibly be that weak so that you can't control a Macbook Pro in transit.  I have no difficulty bringing it places.

really because performance in the top-end macbook and 2.2 GHz Macbook Pro are identical . So it's a heavier macbook with "pro" slapped on it.

All Macbooks, iMacs, and Macbook Pros are underpowered. At least the models that we own.
