Okay, so one of my Mac auctions just ended. The winner is this guy from South Africa.

He immediately sends me an email requesting overnight shipping via DHL... TO SOUTH AFRICA. And says he doesn't care about the fees.

I checked on dhl.com, and it would be $2,050. Now, what the fuck?!

WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD DEMAND OVERNIGHT INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING ON AN OLD COMPUTER?

He can't scam me if I send him a PayPal invoice, which is what he's requesting, so I'm pretty sure this is legit. Crazy as fuck, though.

Best part is, if this guy really wants to be two grand for shipping, I can save 10% but still charge him the normal rate. Instant $200 for me.   magician;

He is so scamming you.

I was suspicious of the 0 auctions won/sold at first... but his account is two years old; if it would have been a new account I'd say no right away.

But considering it's not a new account, that the guy contacted me before hand, and that he's keeping in regular contact with me now with his @mac.com address, I don't think this is a scam.

Also, there's no way in hell to rip me off through a PayPal invoice.

There just has to be a catch to this. If it's legit, the buyer has no idea what shit he's going into. Maybe he's just clueless and desperate for a Mac? gonk;

$200 extra sounds sweet though.  :|

Though, $200 for you is good.

All I'm going to say is if you can afford to lose it, then take the risk of sending.

They can easily wait until you ship it, and then cancel the paypal payment. Anyone can cancel a payment.
