Well, my school is very technology oriented, so all our computers (iBooks; yes, i know they're old) have Photoshop, Imageready, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver, and Fireworks on them. And since I'm a freshman, we're only learning Photoshop right now.
And yeah, this is the stuff that we just recently did:

This one was really hard for me, especially since we had to use curves which is hard. And I changed the text to XYZ to avoid you guys knowing my full name.

This is something we did together as a class. My text was misplaced so you can't see the center of the 'solar wind'.

We had to do the same lesson as above but with our name.

And I thought that this one was just awesome, so I'd show you guys.

So isn't this stuff neat? Especially since most people knew nothing of Photoshop before the year started.
I knew a little bit from the sigs I made but I've learned so much more.

So, what do you guys do in your technology classes?

Clarksville doesn't offer tech classes.

In New York, we did 3D modeling, animation, motors, woodshop, and metalwork.

I should have joined the animation club. It seems fun.
I guess I'll just wait till next semester.

And speaking of motors, in this thing called "Project Period" that we have on Fridays. We were playing with Lego Mindstorms and writing programs for this little robot car. It was fun.

I'm going to take a computer course just for lol weighted credit.
I do not have HIV/AIDS.

The hole one is pretty cool, for being such a simple idea.

I don't think my school ever offers any computer art oriented classes... there's one Digital Photography course that's based on using Photoshop for touching up color and stuff, and a Film Studies class, but that's about it.

Those are all pretty good.
The only "Tech" classes my school offers are Office Professional and Tech Art.
I already took Office Professional, and all we do is learn how to use Microsoft Office. God damn, that was the most boring class I've ever taken. The only reason I took it is because I thought it was gonna be another one of those easy ass typing classes.
Then there's Tech Art, which I'm taking next year. All I really know is that you learn to use Photoshop.

Trini

Cool, My class just stopped using Illustrator and now were on photoshop. We're doing basic shapes and stuff.

We had to learn to use Word for a while too. It was the most boring thing in the world. Some students from our school took that Microsoft Office Specialist test and passed it. Hopefully, I do too.

I wish we had those programs on our computers. :'(

Our computers are old so some of the programs aren't the latest versions. We're gonna get new computers in February so I guess we're gonna get Adode Creative Suite 3 then.
Only some computers have Photoshop CS3, others have CS2 and some just have 7.
Flash, Dreamweaver, and Fireworks are the old Macromedia versions.
And I don't know what version of Illustrator we have.

It wasn't just Word. :'(
The whole class was dedicated to Microsoft Office in general. We had a textbook that just explained how to use Microsoft Office, and we had to do "lessons" from it every day. Word was the first chapter, then Excel, Powerpoint, and whatever the hell else there is. I don't remember.
I haven't used Microsoft Office since I took the class.

On another note, I just recently found out my school still has a Mac lab. psyduck;

My school has a PC lab with old computers that run Windows ME.
All of our other computers are Macs.

That's awful (the ME PC lab). We've got year-old iMacs in the library and art rooms, MacBook Pros for the art department as well, and a few carts of MacBooks that classes can use.

If your school wasn't Catholic, I'd gladly move there.
