As we all know, Genesis controllers suck. There isn't a single one in existence without at least one nonfunctional button. As a result of this, I decided to just keep buying games for my Genesis collection and not play any of them until I got a damn controller that worked. Well, that'd never happen. So I eventually got so tired of it that I just decided to rip the thing apart (again) today and see what could be the problem. I look very closely, and I notice those little lead pads, or whatever they are, look a little bit worn; it's particularly obvious on the B button since it just looks like smooth, dark grey rubber.

How'd I fix it? I got a little superglue (had to slice off the top because it all dried up, and as a result have a pair of scissors frozen in time), a circle of aluminum foil, and stuck that bitch in there. Popped in Strider, since the B button is essential in that game, and it worked even better than brand new.

DO YOU GUYS EVER FIDDLE AROUND WITH YOUR ELECTRONICS?

Also, I have 3 perfectly working Genesis controllers. It's the N64 controllers that seem to break a lot for me, especially those shitty analog sticks.
My N64 controller still works perfectly after hundreds of hours of Banjo Kazooie and Dk64. The stick is a bit wiggly, but it still works fine.

jesus christ do genesis controllers just hate me or is it because i play my baby too much :'(

Also, my Genesis displays everything really weird. It's like an overly sharpened image, but I don't know how to, if I even can, fix it. psyduck;

I want to get my model 2 working, but I don't have the little plug thing for video. Radioshack had them yesterday, but it was $26... and I'm not paying that much.

Kalahari Inkantation

I opened up my old DS to fix the D-Pad once, because it just wouldn't go down. I fixed the D-Pad just fine, but then once I started playing it, the touch screen wouldn't work. I opened it up again, looked around for what could be the problem, and ended up breaking a few pieces of plastic off, so I got all worried, thinking I had destroyed my DS. I did find that some fat brown wire was loose, so I plugged it back in to where it was supposed to be, closed the DS up, and it worked, almost perfectly. Ever since then, though, when I turn it off, the last image on the Touch Screen stays there fr a few minutes. Maybe because I broke that plastic thing... powerofone;
It doesn't matter, though, I had fixed my DS and I was proud of myself. ness;

I tried to open up my PSP and fix the analog nub and the wireless switch to find that one of the screws was broken so that it wouldn't come out another was broken so that it wouldn't tighten. I just applied some super glue to replace the screw that wouldn't go in and both the analog nub and the wireless switch randomly started working. psyduck;

The analog nub has since gone batshit insane again and the wireless works now, but I can't turn it off. powerofone;

The N64 analog sticks suck cocks, as well as their D-Pads. :'(

i opened up my n64 controler becuz the B button was being retarded turns out i had some old naucho cheeze clogging it up

Cookie

My Genesis controllers work fine. I did have a problem with my Sega Saturn D-pad but that was fixed by buying a new controller. I did take apart a PS1 controller though, only making the problem worse.

I always open my PC every once in a while because of boredom.

C.Mongler

My L button in my DS stopped working. I took it apart and took the spring out. That'd didn't really help caterpie;

My Wii is naked right now, I took it apart and haven't put it back together.

Opened up my GH controller for the PS2 to fix it, whammy bar broke and so did the strum, both are now fixed but it makes a rattle sound which I cannot fix at all anymore.
