I'm still waiting in anticipation for a certain someone to power down her away message so I may approach her and speak to her about certain matters for social matters and sexual arousal. Sometimes I feel as though people appear to be away but they really aren't away and they're speaking with others, however maybe they forgot to change their status -- but I'm not sure if AIM does that automatically.

This someone is using a Danger Hiptop III and I can't help but feel sorry for her instant messaging over EDGE and I can't help but feel pity for myself for having to put up with receiving these messages a whole two seconds after they're sent. Anyway, away messages... what's the point if one is going to be gone for a good amount of time and never read the messages sent? It would be better to power down the IM client and save some power... and even someone's patience or maybe even someone's life.

I suggest all of you take my advice and sign off you plan on going "away" for a great amount of time, like sleeping. Away messages were originally used for brb's and bbl's -- not bbwhenever. They are for managing your messages during your time out, not for ignoring and leaving.

Save power and save a poor soul's life. Sign off.

I suggest just talking to them in real life.

Also, I never use away messages  china;

You mean, like by the telephone? powerofone;

I would, but I don't like using up minutes. I only make calls during nights and weekends, and whenever I feel like it. Certainly, I'm not in the mood for holding that uncomfortable concrete slab against my cheek and speaking right now.

I guess the best thing to do is to start text messaging her via SMS.

I almost lol'd. I smiled. Good job.

Anyways, I never set a custom away message. I just leave Trillian open all the time. Whatever message it generates is what everybody sees. I'm always up to chatting if I'm not AFK/asleep/whatever.
