I just got a Gamebridge (link) in mail yesterday. Whenever I'm using it, it lags. I want to know which spec of my computer needs most upgrading and a cheapish solution to it.

Windows XP Home (I don't think drivers support Linux or Mac)
160GB total storage with about 50GB free
768MB RAM
Intel Celeron D 2.53GHz
Graphics: Intel(R) 82865G Graphics Controller (it's not a dedicated card, just some Intel chip placed on motherboard)

The motherboard doesn't have and PCI-e or AGP ports at all, just three regular PCI ports (one is currently used for wireless internet). I don't know what socket it uses for CPU but I doubt it supports any of the Core 2 series or whatever.
Also, it's manufactured by Dell, the model is Dimension B110 or whatever but I added another HDD and 512MB RAM to it. I can't go buy a whole new computer, just upgrade parts.

On a side note, my main media player called "Media Player Classic" crashes my whole computer every time I try to open the Gamebridge with it. Do I have to use the InterVideo Home Theater included with the hardware? It's been lagging with InterVideo.

Uhh.. all capture devices lag somewhat, unless you have a really good computer.. Other than that.. I don't know much else about capture devices, never used one.

Well, this one can get horrible at times, and my computer pretty much sucks.
I think that the graphics need the most improvement but the motherboard limits that with the lack of AGP or PCI-Express and I don't know what would card would be the best fix for my problem at a good price.

The problem is integrated. I'm using Integrated, and even at 128, with maxxed speed, it chokes.

I would have gotten a better thing, that one looks really cheap.  caterpie;

Integrated? Do you mean the graphics?
Would you recommend any graphics card that is affordable, won't randomly break on me or freeze the computer, and can be placed in PCI?

One such doesn't exist, PCI isn't fast enough. You're stuck with the intergrated crap that would be Intel.

Oh edumacate;
Are you saying that no graphics card for PCI exists or just that it wouldn't be fast enough for what I need it for?
I might be able to get a new motherboard.

Title27GT

well the 768 mb of RAM definitely needs some upscaling

Not fast enough. I have quite a few PCI cards laying around,, but they all only have like 2MB of memory on them.

128MB memory? Is that good? psyduck;
There are also some PCI cards there with 256MB...

Try if you want, I don't use PCI cards.
