That really depends. It's not technically a Persona game.

It's Etrian Odyssey with persona 3 and 4 characters, utilizing persona's classic "exploit weakness" system.

Basically, it's a giant dungeon crawler where you have to make your own map.
but unlike Persona proper, no social elements and no day-to-day life.

Q is not really a Persona game lol

I would suggest 4 or 4 Golden as a first Persona game to play. 3:FES is my favorite but idk some people don't like how the AI controls your other party members. P3 Portable does change this.
