There is a significant jump in quality from the 1st to the 2nd. It starts off great from the beginning. I recall all the upgraded features feeling like sex when I played it. Then the third one, Up Your Arsenal, is just fantastic.

I also recommend the Future series if you haven't tried them yet. Tools of Destruction is good, but A Crack In Time is absolute perfection.
