Played LA Noire for a few hours, it's very pretty. Played Rock Band 3 on Christmas with family, has quite a few good songs. Haven't had time to play Unchart3d or Bioshock yet, and I need to get a string for my guitar to play Rocksmith

Demon's Souls can only get better it seems

it feels really good to come back to Flamelurker after getting the Purple Flame Shield and just completely wrecking him

with that shield in hand, he stood no chance whatsoever. easy peasy.

no, i mostly used melee. i was doing mostly magic damage though, because it seemed to affect him more than melee that only did physical damage. was using a crescent falchion.

it's really just a matter of either blocking or backstepping away from his fire blast move, rolling under his big lunge, and simply stepping out of the way when he swings his arm at you. when he does the latter is when you can start hitting him with power swings, which do stun him. and he takes a lot of damage, he doesn't particularly have a lot of health.
