i played for maybe two or three hours and it couldn't keep my attention because the combat felt dry and you had to plant berries or some shit to regenerate. i don't know if i should try it again sometime

No More Heroes 2 is fucking awful. The plot's absolute shit and the bosses have no memorable story. Not only that, but the battles aren't even fun. They're mostly boring and sometimes utterly frustrating.

But the first game is a goddamn masterpiece in every way.

every boss battle in nmh1 is preceded by some introduction and background information

in nmh2, you just get some vague details after you kill them. their story doesn't matter.
