Beat Castlevania IV today and it was better than I remembered it being.

I also decided to start up Bloodlines again and holy shit it's so fast and intense. It's even better than IV.

i still need to get bloodlines

but yeah iv is fantastic, in particular it's got a fantastic sense of atmosphere for an snes game

got rayman origins on thursday, been playing it with my friend when possible. it's really god damn fun, we've been laughing a lot while playing it, and the tricky treasure levels get fucking hard so we both have to replay them 50 times and yet it never gets annoying

IV's good, but it can feel a bit cartoonish at times. Bloodlines has a much more "gruesome" feel to it.

Also, Bloodlines undos a lot of features of IV, like whipping in any direction. However, you can use your whip to swing off any surface.

And bosses are twice as big as anything in IV.
