Daddy

Here are his reasons

  • Windows Media Player can encode music at more than 128KBPS(which iTunes can too, when I showed him a screenshot he was like "uhm well iTunes can only do 320, WMP can do CD Quality) Why the fuck would you need more than 320 KBPS for a song?   The quality doesn't sound much better...

  • When he imports music from a CD into iTunes his computer makes noise.... OH SHIT REALLY? YOU'RE READING OFF YOUR CD DRIVE AND WRITING TO YOUR HARDDRIVE AT THE SAME TIME AND YOUR COMPUTER IS MAKING NOISE?

  • He claims that iTunes hogs his RAM, even though the system requirements for Windows Media Player are twice that of iTunes

Ask him how he sorts his music. caterpie;
Oh shit. Windows Media Player has a shitty organization system.  iTunes stores everything in an XML file, so it loads instantly.

Windows Media Player needs to manually scan for everything, which takes a long time and can crash when trying to keep track of libraries that are well over 1000 songs.

Daddy

lol, the Wikipedia article on "Kilobit per second" says 192 KBPS is near CD Quality.  caterpie;

320 kbps is pretty good then. navi;

I like Windows Media Player better than iTunes simply because it looks better.

Other than that, I don't give a fuck, I only have about 250 songs anyway, of that, I only listen to about 20 at most on any given day, yay Repeat One.

Uhm, I find WMP to be bulky and unattractive.   Skinning doesn't count because you could use the same logic for iTunes because it can be skinned too http://guistyles.com/category/itunes-skins/

Also, most people don't spend all day looking at their media player.  I have my browser window covering it, so I could give a shit what it looks like.

Green>Grey In the taskbar personally, but yeah, I never have mines open long enough to notice it. I don't care about Organization because I can just Search the library for a song anyway.

Oh my god, JMV has become a faggot.

How so? He's right. iTunes just does everything better (except for burning CDs).
