At least you could come up with a good reason to derate Windows.

I mean, come on. You can either pay the few hundred dollars to get perfect protection on a Windows machine, or you can pay the extra $1000-$1500 for a Mac.

There are so many things to derate Windows on, but you pick a moronic reason. psyduck;
lol

1500 dollars extra for a mac?

wow I've never heard of such a thing unless your computer is 10 years old and running Windows 98

they're only able to do that if you're idiotic enough to be constantly using a privileged administrator account, no different than any other os psyduck;

The same kind of idiots Windows is widely used by.

what unnecessary files and which directories are not accessible?  psyduck;

I'm talking about those damn shortcuts that get scattered everywhere, and some people don't even know what or where the hell the "program folder" is.

You can make a decent computer that will run everything well except for games for about $400 maybe, if you know how to build computers. If you want a Mac it'll cost at least $1000 for a decent Mac that will do everything besides play games.

I can get a PC that will run every computer game at the highest quality, maybe even Crysis at the lowest quality for $1000

Windows is a fine OS if you have the decent hardware and you're not a total idiot.

So, you're used to running installers (that are able to do any modifications to your operating system) to extract shitloads of unnecessary files to a directory not accessible or even known by the mainstream audience? You're using to having to look at a shit-ugly luna theme with a scattered application launcher that includes subdirectories upon subdirectories just to launch a single program?

OR LET ME JUST CLICK AND DRAG THIS FILE INTO MY APPLICATIONS FOLDER AND A YUMMY HUM HUM GO ABOUT MY DAY SIR

oh and thats just the comparison of application management
Tarballs for the win!
