Is and forever will be my favorite movie of all time. It's amazing, and that's all there is to it.

I would like, however, an explanation on one or two thing that seem significant:
1.) What role did chikorita (lulz, pogeymanz) play in the film? Obviously, it'ssymbolic, but I can't quite figure it out... I mean, from the dancing portion of the movie, you'd think she represents the uncorrupted, innocent side of society, dancing in an innocent, poetic way in "nature". And of course, in Samantha's group (lulz, that's my namies), their 'tampered-with' version of dance is selected to move on Talent America, or whatever it was. But still.. something's missing- with her headphones, her crush on Donnie (I love him more. Even if he had gay sex.), and other things like when Donnie tells his friends to back off of her.

2.) I don't understand why... dammit. >.> I forget her name, something lame like Gertrude, anyway, Donnie's girlfriend  OH YEAH, GRETCHEN! Okay, so I don't understand the end. Gretchen should have said "sounds like some kind of superhero" after the boy told him Donnie's name. Why did her reaction change the second time? It would have been the perfect ending, too. Is it taht that ending owuld have been to obvious, and they just want to confuse poor innocent girlies like me? ;_;

3.) And another thing, where does the whole child pornography scandal fit in? I need pretty much an overall explanation on this one.

Any clarifications would be apper-sheeated.

I can watch that movie over and over aand never get bored of it. As for your questions,

there is no official explanation for either of these. You're supposed to think of your own interpretation.

You remember the guy who made the videos about fear and such, right? And you remember how Donnie set off that fire and revealed his child pronography stash, right? That guy was taking pictures of Donnie's sister's dance troupe and distributing them amongst other pedophiles.
