A day of school that isn't excused by your parent is a 0 for every class, no matter what happened in it. At least that's what the do at my school. I'm not sure many parents would call in and lie about the kid being sick or something for that retarded reason. And if the parents say "my kid is skippin cuz 9/11 thing lol" I would think that wouldn't be a legit reason, and the school would just count it as a skipped day. 

It's not going to do anything positive for anyone anyways. I don't see how doing this comforts anyone that lost friends or family on 9/11.

You skipped school and they let you remake everything in every class? My school counts every assignment done + participation points in every class as a 0 if your parent doesn't call in by 9:00.

No, I didnt skip... I called in sick, but didnt hand in my note, so it was counted as unexcused. Last year i had 5 unexcused absences apparently
