Has anyone set up an alarm clock to play a CD or MP3 player for an alarm?

I'd thought this would be neat. Though anything you'd have to get for it to do this is expensive.

I have one of those, they call it an iHome. I got it for 50 bucks last year.

My mom bought one for $100 and it's way ugly and won't fit in my entertainment center

I guess I might get one of those, though I wanted to use my stereo system so it's fucking loud since I'm the only one home when I have to wake up.

I tried it, but waking up to Megadeth for a week really freaked me out so I stopped.

iPods have alarm settings, you can set a song or at least a playlist (I don't remember) to have it play. Plug it into some speakers, and there you go. 

I just have my iPhone wake me up with ducks quacking (one of the included ringtones).
