Why the hell can't Microsoft make IE render stuff correctly?

You'd think with Safari being Windows-compatible now (and people liking it, for that matter), MS would make some attempt at bettering IE. You'd also think that since IE outdates pretty much every other popular browser, it would be something of the definitive browser to check for compatibility.

BUT NO, IE HAPPENS TO BE THE ONLY BROWSER THAT SERIOUSLY FUCKS PERFECTLY GOOD HTML (among other things) UP. AND IT'S ANNOYING AS HELL WHEN WRITING WEBSITES.

And Lawlz, I don't give a flying fuck about FireFox.

Microsoft acknowledges a lack of compliance with W3C standards.  Not entirely sure of their reasoning, assuming there is any.
And they also said they don't care about the Acid2 test.

also they added tabs jeez isn't that enough there's no pleasing you people :|

IE 7 doesn't feel as tab-friendly as most other non-primitive web browsers :|
