Houdini

The image quality sucks.

Samus Aran

Looks like shit.

Oh well. At least it's a Strat. I WOULD'VE LIKED A SG OR LES PAUL MORE THOUGH.  argh;

Bleh. Red Strats are so cliche.

It's better than a huge white background with the scrollbar.

Wrench

Much better. The white was really annoying.

I know. I prefer it them to be darker, and maybe have some sunburst too, like mine.

Of course, mine's a Squier, so I have little right to be bashing any other guitars.  china; As you can guess, I got it because it's a cheap alternative and a good guitar to learn with. Nothing fancy.

Protip: Mexican Fenders only cost $200 and are infinitely better.

When I bought the Squier, I didn't exactly know much about guitars. I paid for my idiocy.  caterpie;

Well, you could set it on fire if you ever feel like emulating Jimi Hendrix.

Or I could try to sell it and maybe get like $50 for it. I could get more if there wasn't a tiny screw missing on the bridge. Because of this, my top E string sits slightly higher than the other stings, and is probably easier to break.

caponehollywood

I have that guitar.

But I'm getting a new one next year.

Any suggestions?

You can't go wrong with a Les Paul, if you've got the money.

Why, how much do they usually cost?

If you get a real Gibson instead of a Epiphone, they could cost anywhere from around $1000 to around $2500. I'd recommend getting a standard model, which would generally cost you about $1800 or so.
