You don't know what I listen to obviously.

I'll try them out and tell you what I think, which will probably be positive. The Shins is a indie band much like The Strokes but 100 times better. They sound like The Beatles at points as well. Their new album is pretty ambient which I love, and which I heard Radiohead to be like.

The Bends, by Radiohead, is an incredibly overrated and boring album. Then again, I find The Shins to be somewhat boring as well, so you may like them.

Oh, and reccomendation=The White Stripes

They just kick ass so it doesn't matter  what you like.

UnagiPower

I like Red Hot Chili Peppers   v;

Samus Aran

Led Zeppelin (you need it bad): mostly blues, "hard", and "soft" rock, with lots of other rock hybrids mixed in.

Boston: rock, "arena" rock

AC/DC (you also need this badly): hard rock

Van Halen (also needed badly): hard rock, metal, hair metal-ish

Rush: rock, hard rock, progressive rock

The Black Keys: blues rock, hard rock

Oasis: Britpop, rock

The Stone Roses: Britpop, rock

The Verve: Britpop, rock

Pink Floyd: progressive rock

I second pretty much all of the bands Kaz said, minus AC/DC. I can finally admit I have no interest in that band at all, save a few songs. I'm not to hot on Van Halen either, but Eddie kicks ass on the guitar so it's all good.

Oh, and also:

The Smiths-Brilliant Rock band from the 80s, very influential especially on 90s bands such as Oasis and Nirvana

Primal Scream-Genre hopping band from the 90s. Blue, electronica, psychadelica...Take your pick.

The Who-No explanation needed.

Manic Street Preachers-Brilliant dark, political band from the 90s. I can see they're already on your list so check out Motorcycle Emptiness, Australia, and Faster.

The Libertines-If you like The Strokes, you'll probably like them.

Kasabian-Electronic/Rock combo with a set of brilliant tunes

Arctic Monkeys-2nd album is one of the best of this year.

AC/DC is the most over rated piece of shit to hit earth ever.

Skillet

Insane Clown Posse
Linkin Park
D12
Quarashi
Norma Jean
Fightstar
(Hed) P.E.

Samus Aran

I know. That doesn't mean he won't appreciate some AC/DC though, now does it?
