Let's take a look at the best that Dell has to offer in mobile performance.

The Dell Precision Notebook. Pretty ugly, right? Now, let's take a look at what I'll be comparing it to, the CONSUMER line of Apple notebooks.



How about price? Well, the Dell is $1700, the Black MacBook (high-end) is just $1500.

Now, since we KNOW macs are overpriced, that Dell has got to have some pretty awesome specs, amirite? No.

The Dell has the following

Intel Core 2 Duo
1 Gig of RAM
80 gig HDD

Hmm, not bad.

Let's see the MacBook.

Intel Core 2 Duo with the ability to run Windows AND Mac OS X in a number of ways.
1 Gig of RAM, except not every fucking byte of it is being sucked up by Vista
160 gig hard drive, TWICE that of the Dell.

Also, the Dell is just fucking ugly.

Also, Macbooks are known for durability, Dell itself DOES NOT reccommend the Precision Notebook in the durability department.

So, essentially you're paying 200 dollars extra for....

And no matter what, $1,500 is a lot for a computer that I won't use for anything but internet and music. I'd rather get a desktop computer with 8800 video card and play some video games on it.
